Terms

The terms for using kent.careers and buying an advert.

Who you are dealing with

This site is run by the individual who runs kent.careers. Prices include everything. There is no VAT to add.

Using the site means these terms apply. Buying an advert means the section about adverts applies too.

Looking for work costs nothing

Browsing, searching and applying are free. Applications go to the employer, so what happens after you press Apply is between you and them. kent.careers cannot promise that an employer will reply, that a job is still open, or that the work is as described.

Buying an advert

Refusals and refunds

kent.careers may refuse or remove any advert, including one that names no real employer, is placed by a recruitment agency, states pay below the legal minimum, is discriminatory, or is not a real job in or near Kent and Medway.

If an advert is refused before it goes live, you get all your money back. If one is removed afterwards for breaking these terms, you do not.

There is no refund for days you do not use.

Responsibility

kent.careers does not promise that the site is always available, or that an advert brings you any applicants. Nothing here is advice about employment law, and publishing an advert is not a check that the job or the pay is lawful.

If something goes wrong and money is owed because of it, the most owed is what you paid for the advert it concerns. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have by law, and if you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, your legal rights stand whatever this page says.

Changes, and the law that applies

These terms may change. Changes do not affect an advert already bought. The date below says when they last changed.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
